Join us at Morden Hall Park for our exclusive holiday club in partnership with The National Trust. Only 15 slots available to craft, play and make friends whilst immersed in nature! Everyday will see us explore new parts of the park, learn about tree names, wander into the forest and the wetlands, hunt mini beasts, follow rivers that flow through, build dens, climb trees... all in awe of the beauty around us. Unlike other clubs, numbers are strict and slots are likely to book out quickly so please secure your place as far in advance as possible. Bring a packed lunch and clothes suitable for activities!

The Wonders of Allah's Trees:
Day 1: Finding Shade Under Trees:
Inspired by Prophet Muhammad's saw actions, we will learn about tree identification through guided exploration and reflection.
Day 2: Nature Journalling:
Recording the different types of trees we can find. Labelling, drawing and sticking down into a journal.
Day 3: Geometric Leaf Art:
Create geometric leaf art, drawing inspiration from Islamic art traditions and recognising Allah's creativity reflected in nature's patterns.
Day 4: Benefits of Trees for Birds:
Investigate how trees provide sustenance and shelter for birds, reflecting on Allah's care for all His creatures. Birdwatching, sketching, and conservation discussions.
Day 5: Benefits of Trees for Minibeasts:
Discover the intricate relationships between trees and minibeasts, recognising Allah's wisdom in designing ecosystems.
Day 6: Bark and Equality Through Art:
Reflect on the symbolism of tree bark and human diversity, inspired by Islamic teachings of equality and unity. Create art using bark rubbing to symbolise unity and celebrate diversity in nature and humanity
Day 7: Exploring Roots and Grounding:
Learn about the functions of tree roots and reflect on personal feelings of safety and security, acknowledging Allah as the ultimate source of strength and stability.
Build dens and find creative ways to anchor them to the ground, promoting teamwork and resilience in alignment with Islamic principles of community and support.
Day 8: Tree Mapping and Quranic Art:
Map out tree species in Morden Hall Park and create artwork inspired by Quranic trees, celebrating Allah's creation and the significance of trees in Islamic teachings.
Day 9: Understanding Trees and Climate:
Explore the role of trees in climate regulation and environmental health, recognising Allah's wisdom in creating trees as vital components of Earth's ecosystem.
